Gerald Doucet
Gerald Doucet, born in 1943, has been Secretary General of the World Energy Council since 1998.
He has had a varied career in Canadian government service, industry organisations and international relations as an economist, consultant and diplomat.
Senior Vice President of the Retail Council of Canada, Agent General for Ontario in Europe, he became in 1992 the founding President of the Europe-Canada Development Association. From 1994-1998, he was President and CEO of the Canadian Gas Association and a Director of Gas Technology Canada.
