Didier Houssin is Director of the Office of Oil Markets and Emergency Preparedness at the International Energy Agency.
He was previously Managing Director of BRGM, the French Geological Survey. Prior to that, he was the Director of Energy and Mineral Resources in the French Ministry of Economy, when he chaired the Standing Group on Emergency Questions at the IEA at the time of preparation of emergency action plans. He also served for Total from 1987 to 1990, where he dealt in particular with European energy matters.
Mr. Houssin graduated from the Ecole Nationale d'Administration and has a Masters in Public
Administration. He also has Degrees in Law and Political Science from the Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Paris..
