Pierre Le Thiez, 48, is Executive Vice President of Geogreen (a joint venture between IFP, BRGM and Geostock), a newly created company providing engineering services for capture, transportation and storage of CO2.
He has been in charge of IFP’s R&D projects on CCS from 2000 to mid-2007, after several research positions in environment and enhanced oil recovery.
Pierre is a chemical engineer and has a PhD on Petroleum Sciences from IFP School.
He is the co-ordinator of the Castor European project (CO2 CApture to STORage) and the French representative in the technical group of the CSLF (Carbon Sequestration Leadership Forum).
