It is our great pleasure to invite you to the First World Coal-To-Liquids Conference.
At a time when energy issues have become central for most public and private organizations, coal is becoming more than ever a key source of energy.
Its transformation into liquid hydrocarbons is experiencing a renewed interest, thereby creating outstanding opportunities.
CTL gasoline and gas oil have been successfully produced for years in South Africa. More recently, the US Air Force finished tests on one of its emblematic planes. In 2008, the first Chinese commercial CTL plant will be started. At World CTL 2008, you will have access for the first time to the most recent information on the outstanding stakes governing this nascent industry: geostrategy, technology, economics, environment, impact and opportunities for industry and service businesses. In addition to the conference itself, you will have the opportunity to extend your network during several coffee breaks, daily lunches and the Conference Reception, as well as in our exhibition area.
World CTL 2008 will be held at the Méridien Montparnasse Hotel, a Parisian central and convivial venue, located in the renowned Montparnasse district, close to the “Quartier Latin”, a nice opportunity to have a walk in these hubs of Parisian intellectual life.
On behalf of our Organizing Committee and our Advisory Board, I will be happy to welcome you to increase your knowledge and develop your network in a sector in which more and more trans-national and trans-industry co-operations are being launched.
Yours sincerely
Serge Perineau
President, Organizing Committee
